Two dates every public entity needs to know.
April 26, 2027
State and local entities serving 50,000 people or more.
April 26, 2028
Smaller entities and special districts. Standard: WCAG 2.1 AA.
Why it matters
One visual method, many public services.
The Bridge Method turns accessibility into visual decisions: color pairs, type, hierarchy, focus and layout that every person can read and use. Every designer who learns these rules carries them into each public-sector project they touch. That is how a design decision reaches a person paying a fine or finding a court date, in any state.
Step 1
Designers learn the rules
Step 2
Web firms apply them
Step 3
Public agencies, schools and nonprofits
Step 4
People get done what they came to do

Clear for everyone.
Accessible design means being understood in every way people take in information:
- Language. Plain words, short sentences and clear next steps, for people with cognitive disabilities, people with low literacy and anyone reading in a second language.
- Visual. A clear hierarchy, readable type and images with text alternatives.
- Color. Enough contrast, and color never as the only way to show meaning.
- Audio and video. Captions, transcripts and no sound that plays on its own.
Every rule in the method starts there.
“Accessible design speaks clearly: in words, images, color and sound.”
